President Buhari Welcomes Special Visitor From The IMF


President Muhammdu Buhari was on Tuesday, January 5, visited by a very special visitor: Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The IMF chief met with President Buhari to discuss options that could help Nigeria fight its way through the global economic shutdown.

Also in his bid to stabilize the Nigerian economy, President Buhari met with the chief executive officer of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Jin-Yong Cai. At their meeting, President Buhari said that an inter-ministerial committee will soon be established to speed up the re-organization and reformation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
